The Mines Rescue Services are under the direction of a Board of Directors, who are responsible for strategic policy and major financial decisions, including budgetary approval following recommendations by the Committee of Management.

The Mines Rescue Services, through its available resources, will provide a complete structured emergency rescue system primarily to the mining industry with the objectives of minimising the loss of life and assets
